The Embassy of France in Kenya has donated a grant to Food for Education directly of €1 million to support 25,000 vulnerable children in Nairobi County that cannot afford to contribute towards the Dishi na County lunch meals delivered every school day. To reach these children, Food for Education, the implementing partner of Nairobi County’s Dishi na County initiative, works with school administration and communities across Nairobi County to identify and enlist the children into the program. These children receive a free meal every school day. As an independent organization, the grant came directly to Food for Education to carry out said project activities.
